A team of specialists in interventional psychiatry, neurostimulation and anaesthesia, united by an evidence-based medical approach.
Dr Jean-Frédéric Mall
Psychiatry and psychotherapy of the elderly
Certificate of Advanced Training (AFC) in interventional psychiatry
Dr Jean-Frédéric Mall is a board-certified physician, former associate physician at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in Lausanne, Switzerland, in the university department of old-age psychiatry (SUPAA).
Specialist in adult and old-age psychiatry and psychotherapy, he contributed to the development and establishment of the electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) unit within the CHUV Department of Psychiatry, to the founding of the Swiss Society of Interventional Psychiatry, and to the development of the Certificate of Competence in Interventional Psychiatry, where he serves as lecturer and supervisor, particularly in the field of electroconvulsive therapy.
As founder of the Lausanne Centre for Interventional Psychiatry, he develops a pragmatic and evidence-based approach, combining pharmacological and interventional strategies — electroconvulsive therapy, neurostimulation (rTMS, tDCS), ketamine infusions — for patients who have not responded to conventional treatments.

Dr Xavier De Moor
Dr Xavier De Moor is a specialist in adult and old-age psychiatry and psychotherapy. He trained at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in the clinical departments of general psychiatry, liaison psychiatry and old-age psychiatry.
He offers adult and elderly psychiatric assessments, targeted interventions, pharmacological adjustments and short- or long-term follow-ups, and participates in interventional treatments in collaboration with the other LCIP specialists.
Seeking to provide efficient and rapid care, his pragmatic approach is primarily based on the cognitive and behavioural model.
For anaesthetic treatments in a psychiatric setting (ketamine infusions, dexmedetomidine, nitrous oxide) and electroconvulsive therapy, the Centre for Interventional Psychiatry collaborates with Mobile Anesthesia Care, whose team is based in the same premises. Founded by Dr Giovanni Gaggero and Dr Nicolas Vasey, the team comprises board-certified anaesthesiologists (FMH) and nurse anaesthetists with extensive experience, including with patients suffering from psychiatric or neurological disorders.
